MEET THE TEAM
Alive Adventures emerged from Scott's boundless passion for adventure in the Canadian wilderness and his desire to share it with others. Obtaining his seaplane license in 2020, he flew over 200 hours, taking 50+ friends and family on unforgettable journeys.
During his travels to Central America and Asia he attended numerous yoga and meditation retreats and trained in several styles of breathwork; and became inspired to create an experience in Canada combining nature, seaplane adventure and yoga/meditation.
After a decade-long search, he found the perfect spot: Kakagi, with its mature forests, remote location, and pristine lake. In 2022, construction began on the Alive Adventures facilities.
Scott and Shreyas met at Kakagi Lake in 2023 through a mutual friend and quickly bonded over the shared love for the land and the beauty of Kakagi lake. They have now decided to marry their passions and form a partnership to allow the vision of alive adventures to come to fruition
SCOTT BENSON / Chief Nature Officer
Scott was born and raised on the lake, gaining early proficiency in boat handling and even navigating across ice during winter. His first job involved transporting lumber by boat to cottages under construction, where he later learned carpentry skills from his father. During his childhood, Scott spent his free time exploring the woods behind his house, blazing trails, and eventually mastering biking on terrain deemed impassable by most.
Driven by a desire to explore remote locales, Scott obtained his pilot's license in 2020. Venturing beyond familiar territories, he began visiting lakes he had previously only identified on maps. During a training flight with his seaplane, he stumbled upon Kakagi Lake, captivated by its vibrant turquoise waters and rugged landscape. In 2022, he acquired property on Kakagi Lake and commenced construction on the sauna and other structures that would become integral to Alive Adventures.

Shreyas Chaudhari / Chief Yoga Officer
Shreyas is the dedicated yoga instructor at Alive Adventures. In November 2023, Shreyas left the corporate world to pursue a deeper connection with both himself and the world around him. This journey led him to Rishikesh, India, where he completed a 200-hour teacher training in Hatha Yoga and another 200-hour teacher training in Nada Yoga.
At Alive Adventures retreats, Shreyas shares his knowledge of yoga with humility, acknowledging that he remains a lifelong student of the ancient practice. His goal is to help retreaters find balance and ease through yoga practices that promote relaxation and mindfulness. He aims to help individuals integrate yoga into their daily lives.
Come join Shreyas on the mat amidst the tranquility of Kakagi Lake to discover that same peace within yourself.
